Try adjusting Noise Filter in the Sonar Menu. Also keep transducer cable away from the TM power Supply and do not run down the TM Cables. IF that doesn't help call HB Customer Service they can help also. You are getting RF Noise from the Digital Maximizer for the TM .

Hey Doug, I have been watching your videos and adjustments for different speeds/scenarios and for some reason I cannot get my 898 adjusted right. Seems the sonar works ok, DI so so and SI is terrible, for example I was in a school of sandies the other night sitting still , they were blowing up all around me in 10ft of water, look at the SI and see nothing like all the snapshots I see posted here. I have been trying to adjust the chart speed to match my speed, sensitivity, enhanced sensitivity etc, even tried the other colors. I tried restoring defaults just in case I was out of wack as well. Any good default settings to try? Thanks.

You need movement for SI and DI to create images. Sitting still like you mentioned will just repeat the same data over and over.

You will need to import them to Humminbird PC then convert and export them to SD Card.

Gonzz, a similar question was asked on another web site. The response from Fugawi is:

"The free Navionics app for PC has various features but as far as I know it is not able to export data to any given chart plotter in the native format of that plotter. It does many things but a free app won't do everything.

So a good option for you is the "shrink wrapped" software on DVD called Navionics NavPlanner 2. It can export your waypoints and routes to Humminbird, Raymarine, Furuno, Lowrance, Garmin, Northstar, GeoNAV, and other brands of of GPS and chart plotter. Exporting to Humminbird 997/998 and importing as well is done through saving / reading on to memory cards that you swap in and out of the chart plotter. All you have to do initially is tell NavPlanner 2 that you use Humminbird by selecting it in the menu GPS > Settings > Model tab. Once the software knows you want it to "speak" Humminbird as the data format, then importing / exporting works nicely.

NavPlanner 2 also reads in Navionics SD and CF cards so you can view those on your computer monitor. And NavPlanner 2 does dozens of other chart planning functions.

You can read up on it at:

http://store.fugawi.com/collections/...cs-navplanner2

There's a sale price of $99 on NavPlanner 2 for a limited time. If you have any questions, contact support@fugawi.com."

I'm having the same problem with my 597 called H/B they sent a new power cord. that did not help then called Minn Kota no solid fix at this point. All Star in Dallas told me they can run a wire from the battery. down the shaft to ground the trolling motor. that wont about $250.00. got to be a cheaper way.to resolve this problem. I will say this for H/B & M/K thay or trying to help me. will be back on the phone this morning.as im starting to have withdrawals. for that thump.
