I caught a decent number of fish on spoons last year Fork. Every one of them was caught with an Ambassadeur 4600C4, Berkley Lightning Rod Shock Series, and 20-lb Big Game.

Here is an article I wrote for Basswest with one of the best spoon fishermen on Fork.

Go to www.laeforkguidetrips.com and use the Articles tab. I think Tom has it listed as the 6th or 7th from the top. Lots of other good info there.

I use a 7'6" Med/Hvy rod with a 7.1:1 reel and 20lb fluoro. It's perfect!!!

What kind of swivel, for those who use them, do you use to keep the line from twisting?
