I will also have to agree with the long sleeve shirts. I just started wearing some white long sleeve t-shirts when I fish, and I have to admit that I am impressed on how cool they keep you. I also wear a solar shade from glacier glove to protect the back of my head and neck. http://www.glacierglove.com/drshade/SunShades.htm
