A couple friends and I are thinking about going bank fishing at Westlake Park this Wednesday night. I used to fish there 5 years ago and would use (5) 7-8 foot poles with 3oz weights (for distance casting) and toss shads/minnows. I had SOME success. If we want to catch catfish would this still be a decent spot?
What time does the park close btw?
I appreciate feedback and it's good to be back on these forums.
Better to keep you mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt :P

Westlake closes at ten. There is a new access to the old dam on the opposite side of the lake that is open 24/7. Cross the tollbridge and take the first right and it ends at the parking lot.

the old dam can be really good... or really bad.
its been pretty good to me!
get out there and hopefully we see some pictures!!

Actually work just got busy, go to Google Maps and search westlake park Denton county.
