SLOOOOOOOOOW......Did not see much of anybody catching today. Fished the boats show for about an hour and did not catch a single fish. I left the boat shows made my way to my next spot. I caught 2 in the first 2 minutes. Funny thing is where I was fishing I did not mark any fish and not much bait. But was able to get ones & twos. I did manage to bring home 15 for dinner and the freezer so it was not a bust.

What kind of boat were you in? We hammered them. Tried to stay ahead of the boat show. It moves like a herd of donkeys. It is funny to throw a bouy out and watch the madness that ensues. We caught somewhere around 50. One nice hybrid. It was not on fire like it has been but we had steady fish at each place we stopped at. My graph never lit up but we marked fish.

Marked plenty of fish at deadmans,vaughn's humps,and gravel pits from 6:30-10:30 am on saturday. Caught a 6 lb catfish on a slab at deadmans. That was all she wrote. These fish had lockjaw. Saw one boat catch 3 dinks. It's got to get better

Bassthumb. I am in a marine blue and white Larson fish-n ski. It has TFF stickers on the back. I did not get out on the lake till 8:00 so maybe I missed the action. I went to deadmans around 9:00 and there was just one pontoon anchord on the hump. I did see a small group of boats there from 10-11 but I was caching onesies and twosies so I stayed put.
I think it has been over fished in the past 3-4 years. Used to be a solid column of fish on the graph and just real them in right & left. Now not so much action.

Shut Up N Fish,

Last three trips I have been out have been the best fishing I have seen in a long time. Last sunday at around 1:00 at deadmans we were the only boat in site fishing and caught fish till we were tired. Thurs. afternoon the surface action was great at many different spots. This Saturday evening my two boys and I were catching 2 at a time on slabs. Many magnum sandies and some hybrids. I will have to say the lake is far from being overfished. Guess you just have to be out there at the right time and place.

For what it's woth, most of my success has not been where I mark lots of fish deep but close by on the sides of the hump in about 26 ft. Most of the time I'm catching, the depth finder is empty or few markings.

This has been my recent experience but that's just because I'm horrible at fishing and reading my new graphs.

Think deeper than previous years...

35-40 feet sometimes...don't know why, just sayin'...

Boston Bob, has not been my experience lately. Marking more deeper but can't seem to get the deeper fish to bite like I used to. 26ft or shallower for me has been great. Guess it deepend on location and time.
