I bass fish and always go out of my way to sliw way down or even go around people fishing because i would like the same . but on ivie the other day i came into a hump at idle speed. Idled by a guy about 150' went to the other side and started fishing. about 20 minutes later he put up his stuff and came all yhe way across the hump wide open trying to get on pad and passed less than 75' from me nearly threw me off my boat. To say i was mad would be a understatment

The worst part about its that it seems like lately its the fishing boats running you over rather than the pleasure/ski boats. Last time I was on Lewisville me and a another boat were anchored off about 30 yds apart on a mid lake hump and multiple fishing boats drive between us at full speed.

Texifornia: The older you get (I'm 70) the more you expect these kind of things (It takes all kinds of people) so I don't let it bother me. There's always going to be someone on the lake oblivious to your fishing activities and are just out to have a good time doing what they like. When we are young, we are not as observant. As we get older and experience annoyance at things people do that were inconsideraste to us, we learn to apply the golden rule becomming more aware how our actions affect others. I was out Saturday on Cedar Creek Lake trying to fish and the boat traffic was bouncing me around continuously. But, that's what I expected on a Saturday, so I wasn't upset - just tried to find a spot where traffic was the least. Happy fishing!

a couple weeks ago my dad and i was at the boat show and didnt catch much so we decided to leave and just when we get going about a mile away when run into a start up of schooling sandies. caught a couple, next thing i know i see a fish-n-ski boat drive right on top of them, but they didnt go down just slowed down. then a couple minutes later a red nitro Z8 drives right over them and was way too close to us, its a good thing throwing my slab at him didnt cross my mind or else i would have done it in a heart beat, the fish go down without a trace and we didnt catch much for the rrest of the day...

hey Texifornia, Where are you from. I've been a fisherman all my life. Was a part time waterskier for a while. I never did any of that stuff. Don't they know you have lines out with hooks on them ? Do they know what a rattle trap wrapped around your leg at 50 miles pr. hr. could do to them ? Courtesy aside, why take a chance on something like that? Out in California we had lakes the size of mud puddles compared to these behemoths, but we always could find empty water. Maybe they're hopped up on drugs, or drunk or something.

You can write there TX numbers down and get their licence taken away and restrict them from driving a boat or getting a fishing licence for 3-5 years, these are the type of people we need to report, and dont feel bad about doing it because they didnt feel bad about doing it to you, the law says you can not run full/half speed within 100 feet of any other water craft. ITS AGAIST THE LAW, ok said my 2c worth, be safe and have fun. I see this comment made a lot..."write down their registration number..." How does that get a fishing license taken away and keep them from driving a boat? Heck if it is that easy to do, all of us could end up not being able to fish. GMB
