It would be more up to what kind and year of boat. A lot of boat owners are opting for the motor support like (Swivil-Eze) that just goes on the motor and dose`nt have an arm going down to the boat.

Please take a look at the Lock-n-Haul. It is the only device available that completely stabilizes the trailered outboard without tethering to the trailer or using steering clips. It will eliminate all of the movement from your outboard.

Not sure which one you're talking about, but here are pictures of the Lock-n-Haul on a ProXs. All you need are accessable flange bolt heads on the lower unit side, and symetrical concave features on the transom mount side, and it will work fine.

Yep I have seen several of the Lock-n-Hauls break.

I've been using a Lock-n-Haul on a 250 ProXS for several years with absolutely no problems. I'm don't know why anyone would have a problem with one breaking. I like the fact of it being lightweight and compact.

All of the known breakage issues have been dealt with to satisfaction. Product improvement is a consistant part of the Lock-n-Haul company policy, and the latest version of the device is the best one yet.

I have a Pro Rule I will sell you, as they are good, however I prefer the motormate. (www.motormateusa.com) It also does not require you to use steering clips.
