Anyone have any idea how a SI unit will work on a Sun Tracker Pontoon? Where can you mount the transducer w/o interference from the motor? Anyone have any expierence with this? Any information will be appreciated.

Would work just fine. Mount it where the other sonar transducer is mounted. Just needs a clear path, probably would work fine on the back of either pontoon.

I believe you can get an adaptor bracket to mount the ducer on the pontoon so that it clears, I think its aftermarket tho. My buddy put a 898 on his toon about 2 years ago, I'll try and find out where he got it and get back to you.

I'm probably wrong but, I'm pretty sure the Lowrence instrutions tell you to mount the SI transducer at least a foot away from the 2D transducer. If that is right, you might mount one on each side, don't know that you'd have the ability to mount both on a single log.

This-

I have a Sun Tracker with the Lowrance and have a transducer on the end of each pontoon-
If you want a pic I will get one for you.

I checked with my buddy and he said he was able to use the bracket that came with the 898 combo unit. Hope you get it in place without any troubles, your gonna love SI.
