Yeah that lake used to be my little secret honey hole about 4 years ago guess it ain't so secret anymore . Lol .. I caught my 7 lb bass back in the little pond back in the creek channel . A guy told me years ago that that lake used to be a crappie resort lake . But before they built the turnpike through it , the water was crystal clear and used to be full of 5 lb plus bass.. Man it was awesome . Now I live in Ennis and haven't been there in a couple of years ... Another great bass spot is on coppell . Sandy lake and MacArthur , that man made creek channel that runs behind those houses have some lunker bass.. It says residents only and only catch and release .. So if your dressed decent ,
More than likely you'll have no problem

Anybody planning a trip out here this weekend? I was looking for someone to hit the water with besides the wife. She doesn't know this yet though! We have been doing quite well out there since beginning fishing it in February. My graph isn't working right now so mapping structure will be a bit difficult but the boat still floats.

When it gets hot alot of the fish will move out to deeper water, they will stay near the shallow water but want that deep water nearby.

Old creek channels are good for this, follow the creek channel until it runs up close to the bank. This is a key spot. Fish that jig up on the shallow area and then move it over to the edge and then drop it down to the deeper water.

These waters are right up against the old landfill (trash) in Carrollton. I worked there for 14 yrs. and fished those water for many years. I would never eat the fish but the bite was awesome.

Last time I was there the water was so low that a lot of the best areas weren't even fishable.

Anyone got a report to share? I haven't been out here in about 2 months due to the water level.
