I practically live on this lake and hold my own a fair amount of the time. Trust me it aint that easy especially right now. Tomorrow you will likely see alot of guys who wacked em good today struggle. That's how the lake has been good one day opposite the next. Few ppl can stay on em days in a row right now. i agree with you to an extent.. I also live on this lake, and with my style of fishing i am actually much more consistant this time of the year. The guys who caught their fish on deep structure will do it again day after day. Those who fished shallow will definitly struggle as the tourney progresses. Look at the guys who did well last week in the everstart event, the guys who repeated day after day where fishing deep structure. Those spots just reload/replinish day after day. All that being said, im gonna go out on a limb and say it's gonna take 78-80 pounds to win. This lake has un-real potential. 30lb bags are definitly possible. and your right, it ain't that easy. i mean, i've caught 20 pounds here, never 3-4 days in a row, but im no pro either.

Must have been tough. I feel like I could go out on a giant lake like Toledo bend and catch at least 20 pounds what is your boat number?

I am a deep water structure fisherman. The deepwater bite was not strong last week in most places either. The guy that led the first day flopped the second. george dropped from 25 to 13 lbs. You had one guy who held 3 days in a row consistent heavy weight and he won the tournament. Even the deep water bite was not and is not stable. Alot more 12 to14 ft fish caught than the usual structure bite in 18 to 20's.

Deep bite is just as unstable. Fish are hanging out over deep water and not eating. I caught a couple of those deep resters last week in 34' of water....but waiting on those fish to pull up and feed on the ledge takes patience and perfect timing.
I think the fish just have so much to eat out deep....they eat when they want too.

Yup both previous posts have been my observations too. The ph of the water is still whacked out. That is one reason soo many of those fish even the pros are weighing have those sores on em. The infections and bacteria grow better when ph is lower. Puts more stress on the fish and allows the bacteria to grow just makes it rough in general.

Day 2 weigh in just started... Chapman brought in over 25 pounds.. and Rick Morris brought in 22lbs.
