My nephew came to Conroe for the first time and I put a Rattlesnake on after the morning bite. After complaining about the size he sets the hook on a 7lb 4 oz bass. End of complaints.

Now I pick up one of the new bags and open and all I smell is the plastic bag. What happened?
I've made a statement earlier that I will not buy another bag until it reverts to it's original form and I will keep that promise.

Order direct and come back on here and then re-direct your blame. No excuses. You get what you want and you are not limited to what your local tackle store carries. Beyond that...you aren't buying packs that sat in back stock for weeks/months. This will end your hold out and you will finally start catching fish like you used to.

Shawn,
You assume a little too much.
First, why do you think those packs have been on the shelf for weeks and months? Do they go bad after a couple of weeks?
Second, my catching fish has not been damaged - had a 9-5 recently.

Long time Grande Bass bait user here. I've used them in Texas when I was there and won with them. Using them in Louisiana and still catching fish. Just purchased my first new bag and the oil and scent are much lighter than my old bags.

Do the new baits work? Of course. I keep using them because they work for me. Is it worth complaining about? Not to me.

As far as those that don't think this is the place to air problems about this bait or any other thing for that matter...This is the Texas fishing forum. We have ALWAYS had the room to say pretty much what we want about any bait, manufacturer, or anything else as long as you were not disrespectful. That's what made this forum if the long timers remember. I disagree with those that don't think this is the place to talk about problems they have been having. Lots of problems have been solved, bait's adjusted and corrected, boat problems worked out and tourney formats updated. Don't forget where you started guys and what made this place what it is...The best place in the world to talk fishing.

I sure miss the stump dodging on Lake Fork...But I'm coming back soon to catchOVER the slot! 👍🏾

Cbob is correct.
I am not an oldie on TFF by any means, but appreciate the candid responses and posts here on the TFF.
I do not post alot, but read daily and get new tips, techniques, and reviews which really help me out.
Most of us can sift through the BS posts and tell when someone is genuinely posting a review or someone is bashing for the sake of bashing.

I have used them lately and find them pretty durable. I even use the opposite end after head gets worn and have good results.

You're right, you didn't just try, you succeeded. Come on man, you went to a public forum complaining about poor quality. Thats fine if thats what you want to do but don't say you were'nt badmouthing them. Did you think it was a compliment?

To answer your questions, "First, why do you think those packs have been on the shelf for weeks and months? Do they go bad after a couple of weeks?". It could be location of the store that doesn't get much traffic, a non-controlled environment they are being stored in...etc. Package handling/shipping has an effect. I personally have had my orders rejected by USPS due to seepage of the oil/scent.

I never questioned your ability of catching fish. I stated that you could go back to catching fish like you used to....with Grande Bass on the end of your line.

Again...sorry you had a bad experience. From what it sounds like you had many pleasant ones before. I offered my advice on how to fix the situation. There are many different people you can contact here to further assist you.

Have a good day....

Shawn

Jerry I do have a question for you.

In the past few months. I have seen two different packages that your compnay has been using. One is the normal one with the lazer printed design on them, and the other is a clear bag with a company sticker on the front. I have noticed that the ones in clear bag do not sink as fast( no where near as fast). Is there 2 different types being made? Has the compound changed? Is someone selling their baits with your logo? I really like the older ones alot better because of the sinking rate. Just curious, I just keep looking for the ones in the old packages now.

No Mr. Gandy, I obviously know that it wasn't a compliment considering I was the one who said it. I clearly stated that I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problems I had been having. Nothing more.
