Alright guys I'm lookin for a rod just for deep divers that's mostly what it will be used for now I'm positive its gonna be a Dobyns I like the 805 but do you go with the glass or the Randy Mcabee graphite one this will be primarely a deep diver rod and that's it.

Castaway "The Launcher" 7'6 I have for sale right now. Pm if interested. It's one of the best deep crank rods on the market!

For dd....I will say the 805 I have 2 of em and like them both! For sq bills & shallow cranks I would go with a glass rod but that's jus my 2 cents

The 805 is what I been looking at just didn't know if the glass or the mcabee graphite would be better.

I don't use DD much, but would like a rod for them. I have a 7' rod for medium cranks that is supposed to be for drop shotting. I don't have any problems landing fish.

Thanks,

First of all, you made a great choice, because Dobyns Rods are just phenomenal, but I'd go with the 805.

805 for sure.
If you think that rod is a little too long for you, look at the 765. It works great as well.

If Pake and Brian say so...it's gotta be the right one.
