ive been outta town for over 2 weeks and was just wondering if anyone had any reports on lake dunlap or lake placid...i will be back next week and am gonna go out there every day so i was just trying to see how the water is and how the fish are biting...please let me know so i can break in my new rod an reel combo!!!!!

Fished Dunlap a couple weeks ago and got skunked. I'm still
Licking my wounds. I would try the lower part of the lake.

I fished dunlap this evening and was not very productive. We only boated three small bass. The last two times I have gone in the evening have been that way.

I fished dunlap this evening and was not very productive. We only boated three small bass. The last two times I have gone in the evening have been that way. I must have seen you out there then! I fished this evening for about 2 hours on Dunlap and it was slow. We caught 2 fish on worms. I'm planning on fishing it quite a bit more now that I have time so hopefully I can relay some good reports before too long.

Fished Friday and Sunday last week. Caught 5 or 6 each trip with no size in bout 3 hours each trip. I did however see a guy pull out a hog. It was around 10 lbs. very nice fish.

james do you have any idea where that hog was or what he was fishing with? and adam hunt welcome to the forum! thanks guys and keep up the guadelupe fishing reports, its what keeps me going!

that's a nice fish. i've always wondered why everyone crowds dunlap. placid is right on i-10. in my opinion placid is better than dunlap, but that's just my thoughts.

I fished placid once a long time ago but have not been back since. It takes me 10 minutes to leave the house and have the boat floating in the water on Dunlap. I may be out there this evening around 6.

Placid is a super lake to fish. Caught some nice ones there over the years. I usually fish Placid 20 to 30 times a year.

i hear you hunt. its pretty easy to be on the water right after work on dunlap. but placid is a sleeper as far as the river lakes go.

No real report for this evening. Did make it out there and fish for about 30 minutes but then the wind rolled in and blew us off the water.
