I really feel like one thing that would help Champs is allowing anglers to practice the Friday before. That allows for a practice trip/tournament all in one outing.

That's another survey question and apparently they don't get enough "yes" answers to make the change. I've always been one of those yes answers because I would like to be able to pre-fish that day before too.

I agree Brandon. This would def. increase participation. It gets brought up every year but for some reason, people don;t respond on the survey.

I know they love to go to rayburn for big tournouts, but having more tourney's withing the same radius of distance from a big city, like houston for example would be nice.

It's a couple hours drive and some hotel time to pre-fish, then couple hour drive and hotels for tournay too, every time.

I like rayburn and toldeo, but that's to much of a pull for me with my work schedule to commit to the whole series. I fish rayburn and toledo every now and then to break up the pace, but from houston to toledo, hey falcon's not much further, and I know where most would rather go driving that far..

You been drinking again LOL!! How is Falcon not much further try another 4hrs have fun with that.

To me it sucks having tournament trails where the entry is $250 to $300 and then first place is 3 to 5K then all the other places basically either pay your entry and gas or just entry fee back.

It is sorta like all these little league programs these days that dont keep score or at the end of the season everyone gets a ttrophy, even the team that went 0-15. All it does is teach society that everyone deserves to be rewarded even for a crappy job.

+1 flag

I couldnt agree more I say every yr we need to fish champs lord willin we will see yawl next yr.

You don't think a "working" man can get 5 Fridays off in a year?

It takes 6ish for me to get to falcon, and 3.5 to get to toledo, so yeah 2.5ish more to falcon. but when you are driving that far already..

I would fish champs if they did not have the week off limits period, they should run it like Bud lite, you can pre fish if you are paid the week of the event.

They really are not helping with leveling the field with the week off limit. Right now if anything they are increasing the handicap bc the out of towners can't practice at all half the time. I thnk the original intent was so locals and guides couldn't stay on the lake all week long to jack pot events. Probably something like a one or two day prefish time would level thngs better allowing out of towners to get some time in. Besides locals can easilly walk into a local tackle shop and hear plenty of info for them to get an advantage without breakng any rules. Look for instance at the tackle shop owners on rayburn. You cant tell me they don't hear any lake info just sitting around doing their job minding a store during the week. You can't eliminate that factor either.

I am sure some can and some cant.

Maybe to throw this out there, what about pre fishing saturday and have the event on Sunday. Regradless I will be there because they do a great job.

Sunday Bass Champs would be awesome. I fish champs and a pre-fish Saturday sounds very good.

Just needs to be changed up some. I know the guys that fished the new Texas team trail really enjoyed it and the payout was a lot better with next year being better

With the economy, prefish, gas, hotel, food plus 280$ for the tourney it gets $$$$$ pretty fast. With all that said BC is still the best trail out the guys are great they just need to change things up. And yes I have fished this trail 5 years.

It would have been different if Toledo had enough water to support a tournament. Fortunately for Champs, Rayburn still had a useable ramp.

I second the prefishing on Saturday if that is what people want. I like to get the most of a weekend that I can.

Fishing a tournament without prefishing on Saturday and then going back out for fun on Sunday to fish doesn't sound as exciting as prefising Saturday and Tourney on Sunday...home by 5PM.

Plus you get more money dumped locally when people stay 1-2 nights.
