What are some good saltwater fishing lures? Looking to go to Corpus Christi and do some pier fishing. But I want to use lures along with live bait. And what would be a good way to rig and hook live shrimp?

Thanks,
Russ

I think the best way to rig a live shrimp is a basic float rig. Either within 2 feet of the top of the water, or about a foot off the bottom. By no means am I an experienced saltwater fisherman. But this has worked for me anywhere fish are.

What DriFly said is spot on, another way is to freeline one and let him kind of swim near the top. That is more of a light line spinning reel presentation though.
