my daughter is 13.and loves to fish fork.she gets up early helps get everthing ready and can fish till 3 and keep her hook in the water and not complain one time about anything.well we started fishing the jc solo this yr.she fished her second event 5/27 and caught her a good under to win first in the jr event.i was so proud of her!!!she catches all her fish on crig and does really well.well then she fished another kids event 6/2 and took first in her age bracket.the game warden said she could bring in a slot so i asked her what spot on fork she wanted to hit first.she says the slot hole.we get there first cast i get broke off.so she throws right back out there and hooks up with a good slot to take first.again im soooo proud of this girl..she gets her fish in the boat,she puts her own bait on and is a really good sport if were not catching fish.

Jeremy I know how you feel! It's such a great feeling watching your kids excell at something like this. I feel like a total jerk for forgetting that this event was going on this weekend. Work has been taking its toll on me lately. Pake and I noticed all the people at the SRA facility Saturday but it was too late by then. We fished from 1:00pm to dark and caught a ton of fish. We had fun, but Pake would have loved to been involved in the event. It's great to see her on the water with you. See you again soon!

That's awesome! Can't wait until my 4 year old boy can last a little longer on the boat. It is funny when we go by a boat house and people take pictures of him casting at their boat house from the front deck. I love it.

So the warden said you could bring in a slot? That's awesome. Hadn't heard of that one yet.
