Your choices are endless in Rockport for less than $200 per night. Check out Sandra Bay cottages (by Key Allegro). Hunts Castle is okay and they have a good pier, so long as all the lights work. Decent wade fishing their too on the little sand bar/point just south of the peir (100 yards or so). There are locals out there almost every morning.

Try The Habitat, which is right next to Goose Island state park. $125 per night. He has 4 cabins which are secluded with a small pond next to them (lots of bass in it). Two cabins have queen sized beds and lofts with queen sized beds (so they sleep 4 people). Another cabin has a queen sized bed and two lofts (so it sleeps 6 people). And the other cabin is even bigger than it. All are the same price, and the guy running the place is a super nice guy. Sorry I don't have the number, but you can probably google it. We were there about 3 weeks ago and had a great time. Public boat launch is down at the end of the block, and puts you into St. Charles bay.
