 Fireworks and first flatty!!

Fear wanted to go see the fireworks at lake Lewisville last nite, so we loaded up the toon for a date nite!! Heard a couple of bands, saw a whole lot of boats and a pretty good fireworks show. We decided to go do a little drifting afterwards. Thanks to Matt, didn't even have to go look for bait, he already had us some! Made a drift and caught a few. Decided to try a little shallower. Caught a few more box fish. Finally had one grab it like it meant it! Fear grabbed it and learned there is a difference in a bluecat fight and a flathead fight. After a while we got it netted. Her very first flatty at 25#!!!! Pretty good date nite with the wife!!

There is your good luck charm Tom. You need to talk her into the toughman and you can't lose. Very nice fish.

I had a great time lastnight! Fireworks, music, quality time with Tom and of all things a new PB!! The flatty kept wanting to go under the boat and Tom and I were just stomping away...he finally came up and Tom got super excited and said "it's a flathead!"...adrenaline is an awesome thing!!! Thanks for a GREAT date nite Tommy!!!
