There are days we all scratch our heads. Conditions were right yesterday. I have been fishing a lot of types of structure and having success. Points, humps, channels... really, the constant factor to me is deep water close by. I know folks say that all the time. I just think a big fish that wants to feed in 10' will be a lot more comfortable with 30' just a quick tail kick away. My retrieve is a slow crawl. I don't hop my jigs (hopping works though) I just creep my bottom presentations. I'm really working submerged cover thoroughly when I hit it. The depth varies from each end of the lake. Right now fish are still very scattered in the water column. I hope this helps.
