Has anyone heard anything? Last post I saw on it said they were going to start to work on it in mid April. Well it is almost mid May. I do not understand why they just don't take the barrier down. I am sure they are not going to fix the ramp the right way. Right way would be to put in a barrier, pump the water out, & fill the holes. Holes are not a problem until the lake drops a few feet anyway.

Out of Site out of mind i am sure is their attitude as long as they leave it closed then no one gets stuck they get no calls they aren't forced to do anything end of story...I keep thinking that eventually I will drive by and see that someone chainsawed the posts down and then they will be forced to address the issue.

U can use the ramp on Chaha now. Just idle out of there and you'll be fine

I am not real fond of that ramp. At one time I used Heath quite a bit but they ruined it by taking away the only beaching area. I guess I am going to have to break down and buy an annual pass at one of the marinas.

Really disappointed that the ramp is still down.
Everyone is putting the blame on the City of Dallas, but I'm wondering if there is a polital reason.
My opinion:
Parks and Recreation is subject to the whims of
COUNTY COMMISIONER JOHN WILEY PRICE,
OUR MAN DOWNTOWN.

There's always hope

Maybe we should start calling the parks dept and letting Them know how many of us are angry about the lack of progress on it. The # is (214)670-4100. If they get enough complaints they have to do something! wright?

Not sure what is great about it. There is no place to beach a boat any more and that dock is not worth a carp unless they lowered and extended it. North winds got me once in July out there. A wind shift line came through. I had to beach it in the cove just north of Yankee and hoof it to the ramp. I backed the trailer in the water and walked back to the boat.

Looks like they opened up half the ramp. Can anyone confirm? I have been too busy to drive down there but I am thinking about getting on Hubbard Saturday.

I'm not sure if they opened half of it or not but last Sunday morning I tried to use the one on the other side of the bridge and it was awfull. I'm convinced after trying for 20 minutes theres no way a person can launch their by themselves. Much less with 20 Mph south wind. Needless to say back on the trailer I went and across the lake to harbor bay marina

Maybe so, which one is in Heath?

Terry Park is in Heath and I agree it is a horrible ramp. Extremely steep, courtesy dock is useless and is probably the most wind affected ramp on the lake.

John Paul Jones is straight across for the NW Dalrock Ramp. Exit Bass Pro and go North to the T-Intersection. Go right at the T and it takes you straight to it. The ramp is north facing, wide and the perfect grade for just about any boat. With the lake up you can use the dock to load and unload which is nice.
