Went out tonight after being sick for what felt like an eternity. We were expecting a nice calm night of 6mph winds predicted by Weatherbug and got on the water to find huge swells. That was irritating enough but then after an HOUR of cast netting everywhere I could think we only had 1 shad and 1 sunfish. Headed down south and caught one barely legal hybrid that didn't put up much of a fight. Went back out in search of Shad and found some 4inch ones. Came back to our spot but the Shad were not the larger ones we have been getting and we were getting eaten up by sandbass. Suddenly I hear Adam say..."WHOA Dad this is a BIG one." He fought the fish like a champ for several minutes and boated the NEW NEW Junior Lake Record that came in a 7.21 and FAT. I decided to wait on submitting his other record so that other young man could enjoy seeing his name online (there is a 60 day grace period to turn in a record) and in the mean time Adam has now broke the record twice. I think those Sponge Bob shorts my be the secret weapon!! Paperwork will be going in tomorrow. Here's some photos of his catch.

I have my sponge bob pants on order. Very cool Adam, I was in ear shot of him last night. That is a great sight seeing a young man fighting a good fish and having a great time. WAY TO GO DAD!!!!

I was just telling my wife about your boy and how well did working that big fish around the engine and how I cant wait to have my little one there. It was sweet seing him fight that fish around the boat, congrats!
