Jeff Hunt from WaShington comes down to Texas to fish Fork for the first time and catches an over. Second pic is the over with a big slot, both caught about 5 minutes apart. Congrats to this young man. Both were his personal best.

This was his first time to Texas. After the trip he goes into Tiffanys to eat. He asked the waitress what was a good home cooked Texas meal. She said she didn't know. (I would have said a chicken fried steak myself). So he opens the menu and ask - this thing called okra, is it boneless? And this stuff called blackeyed peas, is it like snails. Seriously folks I wonder what they it in Washington? lol

Nice fish! In the PNW we ate a lot of steak, fresh salmon and steelhead or fresh dungeness crab. Clams, oysters, halibut and the real ling cod. I love the sun in Texas but I sure miss the food in the North West.

Hopefully I'll see you out there next week. Been off for a couple of days. Have clients from Houston today and they are going for number 11. API tourney out there today again with 1000 fishermen in it. Being second day of this tourney big fish are going to be a little gun shy with all the boat activity. Plus Skeeter guys out there pre fishing for their next weeks event. I'm crossing my fingers for them though!
