Hey guys. I am more of a crappie guy than a catfish guy, but I have a boat slip on Lavon that usually holds crappie, but they have moved out for the summer. The slip is in about 12ft of water and brushed out. Here's the question....do you guys think if I had tied off a couple of mesh bags filled with range cubes, would it attract the catfish to come into the slip. And what would be a good bait to use to catch cats if they did move in? The slip is brushed out...don't know if that makes a difference or not. Let me know what you guys think.
Now that's a mess of good eatin!

Try under the rocks in front of the dock. All u need is gloves.

Yes chum will work & prolly bring cats from all over the lake. You could use any bait successfully, but a prepaired bait would be simple to use and
be easy to get. After chumming for a few weeks please pm gps coordinates. Jk. Gl and have fun with them

Try under the rocks in front of the dock. All u need is gloves. Not many guys here have alot of interest in noodling as far as i can tell. As for the question, range cubes will bring in channel cats, carp, and buffalo. Catxh the channel cats with good punch bait (sureshot, danny kings, cj's) and catch the carp with sweet corn.

Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions, yea some don't have interest in noodling, just like some people think if you run jug lines your the devil or just throwing trash in the lake blah blah. To each their own, hands has had lots of questions asked about noodling and says he's flooded with PM's. Range cubes will bring channels, but with lots of brush you may have some good flatheads hanging around. Some of the best flats I've caught were where I had also been tearing up crappie, too bad the crappie have moved, they're like candy to big flats.

Just a joke anyway caribou. I've had the best success for carp on a 50/50 mix of cottonseed mill and flower. just add enough water or whatever flavored soda that you want. It stays on the hook like glue as well.
