warning horn , steady horn is usually heat, rapid short beeping is usually oil, or water in filter..
..
but either way , its called a "warning horn"
have it checked out

What motor brand, hp and year. You have an oil warning.

Which tank is full? The day tank under the cowl is where the oil level sending unit is. Is that tank full?

If you ran low, and filled the tank in the boat but not on the engine, it won't fill until you remove the cap with the engine running or actually fill it yourself. If you take the cap off and let the engine idle for a few minutes, it will fill (as long as everything else is working correctly).

have never let either tank run out. i keep the large tank in bilge half full or above.
have not looked under the cowl yet. could have a supply problem i suppose.
will start with recommendations above.

Most likly your main oil tank screen is clogging up. Remove the cap that has the 2 hoses coming off, raise up and inspect the screen on the bottom of the pickup tube. Remove tube-screen and clean with spray carb cleaner. Blow out with compressed air, re-install.

This is my guess as it has happened to me...May be caused by mixing oil brands...Once I cleaned mine the horn stopped...
