Caught a few channels on punch bait in 5-6 ft of water among timber this past weekend. But also caught a few eater size blues on cut shad in 20-25 ft of water drifting.

There are ALWAYS some fish shallow smile

We are catching some blues shallow very early in the day and then moving out to deeper water. It'a funny pattern right now, but should stabilize in the near future. We go thru this every year on Waco for about a month, but it has lasted almost 3 months now.

Your best bet right now is to go shallow, chum light in several areas, fish with your favorite channel bait, and move often until you find the fish. The keep them interested by tossing a cup or so of grain when the bite slows down.

Two weeks ago we loaded up on some nice blues not far from the bubbles. I would say about 20ft of water at night. Used small shad and cut bait. Threw back about 6-8 in the slot range over two days time.
