I have kid that lives next to me, hard working 17year old who just lost the transmission in his jeep (he just bought), can't afford the big shops, looking for someone that can either repair his at an affordable rate or get a spare. Kid is pretty good and can install and remove himself. He would even be willing to do work with supervision.
Anyway we live in McKinney, it's a 2001 Jeep wrangler

He can pull the transmission and take it to Ryan at Red River 4WD on 380 for a bench rebuild. Will be MUCH less, and Ryan does awesome work.
I've heard some real horror stories regarding a couple of the tranny shops on HW 5 downtown.
