 Where to fish around Houston?

So I just bought a Sevylor Colorado inflatable kayak and I'm looking for places that I can take it to do some bass fishing. Buffalo Run Park and Luces Bayou are a couple places I know of. Are there any others worth checking out?

Appreciate the link but I've been to most of those freshwater spots bank fishing and the majority are small ponds where kayak fishing is neither allowed nor practical.
Any other suggestions?

I fish mostly Luce Bayou but you could try Conroe, Fayette, and Gibbons. Drive is a little further but the quality is better. If your not worried about gators there is Sheldon but there are some very large gators in the water.

Make the 1.5 hr trip to fayette!!! You won't regret it. I go about every chance I get and it's not near enough.

I'm thinking about hitting Fayette on Monday morning. It's a great place to fish. But it might be a little crowd like everywhere else will be this weekend.

Independence park in Missouri city has a small boat launch. Never bass fished it though
