 Eagle 500C- GPS not working

Could use some help. I have an Eagle Color 500C that uses a puck for the GPS. Recently When the system starts up I get a message that says "GPS module not recognized" or something to that effect. If checked the ususal suspects such as wiring connections to the unit or to make sure its not in similation mode. I've also done a soft reset to see if that helps but it didnt . Only thing next I can think to do is to replace the puck. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance for your help.

did you try unplug the gps ant and replugging back in?? I don't think lowrance sales that gps ant. anymore.

I have a puck if you would like it I am moving my 500c to the bow and replacing with with a SI unit. Let me know if you are interested.
