anyone going or want to fish the grasslands tonight?

Well how was the fishing?

On a whim, I drove out there yesterday, and launched in the creek at Black Creek Lake. There are no fish in that lake. Only snakes.
It was nice little trip, and being able to slide up in the creeks out of the wind was nice, but like I said, no fish
Water was churned up, so it looked more like a stock tank, that a small lake.
I'll revise my no fish statement. There are tons of carp, and I think they have pretty much wiped out the grass beds, if there were any, but I tried to catch those as well - tossing a worm right next to the ones foraging up on the banks. I needed something to hunt, si nce I couldnt find the other fish...
No luck there either.
Sounds like I'll need to try one of the other lil lakes up there in the Grasslands.

Well that's not the report I had hoped for. Clear lake was pretty nice the last time I went out there.

I fished clear lake saturday with my dad. I caught 17 bass and lost 4. My dad caught 8. A guy in a camo bass buster landed a 7 or 8 lber in the stumps. It was a nice fish. Every bass my dad and I caught weighed less than one pound. Wind made fshing difficult. Also, there were three tubers fishing and one caught a white crappie.
