Just moved to Lake Conroe, any tips or tricks on this lake would be much appreciated, I know all the grass is gone. Also storage recommendations would be welcomed, which ones are the best?

Lake view Marina off of 105 has excellent storage at a very affordable rate. Walden Marina always has some class in it, for all species! Haven't been on the lake in a month so I'm sorry I cannot provide an actual report for you.

Fished there the last three weekends. Alot of fish from 2-3 lbs. nothing big for me though lately.
Lakeview was very nice when the lake was low, but now I can get in by the house.

Side imaging depthfinder is a must on Conroe. Its not an easy lake to learn, but it does have some good ones in it.

I store my boat in the back of Walden, we have our own ramp thats part of the storage, its a lil more than Lake View, but its right around the corner from my house. Shoot me a PM and maybe we can fish together or i can try to put you on some spots.

I store my boat at Piney Woods boat storage near Stow-away. It pretty affordable and is nicely constructed.

I use one right down the street from Stowaway. It was called Hold Everything. Now I think it's called Lochness. About $60 a month which is really good against other places I have kept my boat.
Only real issue is keeping gas in the boat can be a hassle. South end of the lake there is some decent priced gas. Other places not so much.

Heed the Fishing Ape's advice. Great stick on Conroe. Tough lake, but side imaging has really helped me. Now, I only blank on 2/3 of my trips... It's a 16 in minimum, which makes it a little tougher on limits. On weekends, I'm off by noon. Too dangerous for me. The south end of the lake is all bulkheads, so its tough when the wind and boat traffic picks up.
Lots of docks to fish, but the bigger stringers come off brushpiles and deeper structure. Winning stringers over 20 lbs are pretty common, but weights drop off fast. I store my boat at Lakeview. Free launches for members, but alot of pleasure boaters launch there too, so you have to have some patience.
If fuel prices weren't so high, I'd be fishing Rayburn, Fayette or Houston County more often.

Winning stringers come from 6" to 25'. Very tough lake to fish. Not a lot of areas where the fish frequent and difficult to stay on top of them unless you are out there frequently.
Definitely some nice stringers to be caught. It takes 20+on the average to win any decent tournament.
It has been pretty tough lately. Usually May is much better. Fish do not seem to be where they usually are this time of year. Best sticks seem to be figuring it out.

Lake is as tough as you make it. Very predictable as far as seasons go and from year to year. Despite what some may say, you dont need to go out and spend $$$$ on SI to fish this lake. It is definitely a tool that can help but unlike what many will tell you, its not the beat all end all. I have yet to find a point on that lake that does not have some kind of brush on it somewhere!! Fish slow, go often!!
