Im have a problem have my ranger getting up to speed it use to run 68mph on gps at 5800rpms with 25m pitch prop with a yamaha ox66 225 . Here lately Im only running 60 or 61mph at 5000rpms same prop thats all I can get out of it . Ive cleaned O2 senser changed spark plugs and ran some ring free . But nothing has help I gotta get it back up to speed ? Anyone have any ideas about what could be wrong or how to fix this problem ? Need help ????

has the prop recently been repaired?
if not, is it bent?

if prop is good. then i'd start with fuel system and check spark on all 6

No the prop is all good same one I've always ran and has been bent . I'm kinda thinking it could be something with the fuel system myself to but I havent checked to see if I'm getting spark on all six I need to make sure I'm running on all six .But the fuel system isn't something I'd try to fix myself hopeing not to take it to the shop

you can still check the fuel lines for any ethanol deteroation.
maybe replace the line to tank and bulb.

i've heard of some pump issues, but i'm no expert there.

check and clean or replace fuel filters.

pull each plug and check for spark. make sure all the wires are on good too.
you may not be hittin on all 6.

have you changed the filter in the vst tank if not do that first an if it has over 100 hrs change the canister after it leaves the vst if this hasnt been done id start there good luck.

it is inside the vapor separator tank .

where is the vapor separator tank i have the same motor and i not sure what you are talking about but would like to know

if you do not know where it is take it to a shop an let them do it.

Well guys after all that I checked everything and all was good it ended up being the fuel pump at the tank it self not the ones on the motor . It's a 660.00 dollar part
