What would it be?
I like to make my own slip bobbers and would like to make some for others that would work well for them.
So I am looking for ideas on this.
A photo of some that I have done for cat fishing and some small ones at the top that I think would work for crappie.

I would take the 3rd one from the right...shorten it down to about 2.5" long, and about 3/4" diameter. I am not a fan of the larger diameter slip bobbers because...in my mind...they take more effort for the fish to pull under.

They look great!

By any chance are you using "Heaven Wood" on some of those?. An old gentlemen made some wooden bobbers and a couple of boat paddles for me many years ago out of "Heaven Wood". I;m sure it has another name. Very, Very lightweight.

Nice work!

Well I am using a full size Jet lathe and a Mini Jet lathe when the big one has a log on it. as to wood I am using scrap from bigger projects.
The floats by Andrew field. What would they cost? very nice looking and eye candy to the fisherman and still they float LOL.
And if you can make it spin and put a cutter to it then chips will fly!
I like the red neck way of the first video shows some thinking on his part.
I started wood turning with a drill press at the time I was making pens.

You can see the lathe and my works at Pencrafter Fine woods

Nice floats! Now you make me want to go down to my woodshop, chuck up some wood and start turning again. Have not laid a tool to either the big one or the mini one in years. I have made some floats but always hated to use them for fear of losing one. LOL
