my buddy has a '92 ranger 375v (apache) with a yamaha pro v 150 he is thinking about selling. the electronics and trolling motor are from that same year. the gel coat is mint(always garage kept). the windshields are perfect. no rust on trailer. good tires and hubs. carpet is 8/10. seats are 9/10. motor needs carb job. all in all, it's a solid boat and i'm thinking about buying it. he says he doesn't know what it's worth, and nada isn't helping. i think he said 2100 low and 3100 high. any professional or experienced help would be appreciated. thanks guys.

I would expect to see that boat in the 4-5K range. Thats according to what I've been seeing on the market here in NE La.

If the hull is sound and all the motor really needs is a carb job, I would give him 3G's and run.

thanks guys. he says he's been offered 5k. i told him to sell it if he can get that. the thing is, he bought the boat new in 92 and if i were to guess, the motor probably doesn't have 200 hrs on it(all texoma, so no tree marks). it's been covered and indoors its whole life. i don't know. nada is shooting low, but its probably worth more than that.

most, if not all, NADA pricing on boats, does not include the motor..

I agree with others that he can probably get $5k for it. If the hull/transom are solid and the motor really only needs a carb job, I'd pay $4k and be a happy camper.

He would get more for the boat if he did the carb job and people could see how it runs.
