I have a '06 ZX190. The housing on the Port intake was cracked. The pump was working before I replaced the unit. I replaced the entire unit, housing and pump(from Skeeter), &
3 APM fuse, but the pump won't work. I've recheck the wiring connections, the lite on the control panel is on, the fuse is OK, but the pump won't work. Is there something else I'm missing, or could it be the control panel causing the problem?

recheck your ground, this is the most common problem with pumps. run a temp grnd to the battery and turn it on at the switch, if it works its the grnd if not check voltage at the pump with a voltmeter and make sure your getting 12v at the hookup.
if no voltage at hookup, check the switch, this is the order I would do it in.

Do you have touch pads?

Yes, the '06 has the touch pad control panel.

Sounds silly, but open it up and make sure there isnt anything in it that is stopping the "spinner" from turning. I had this issue with mine and it kept blowing fuses everytime I put a new one in. I finally opened the pump and found a rock wedged between the spinner and the housing.

Of course if this is a new pump this likely isnt your problem, but Id check anyway.

When the touch pad is going out the aerators switch`s start acting up first. Just to be shure see if you are getting power and ground at the pump, where you made the connections. If its getting power and ground, pump is locked down or bad.

Hardwire the pump to the battery to make sure the pump is working... then check ground from touchpad... and then check voltage on the switch on the touchpad to make sure it is getting there...

Gary, the aerator switch works on both livewells. Hopefully this weekend I can check the ground. I have tried the original pump that was working before I changed it out.
