does anyone know if you have to pay at the drop box at the boat ramp at the north end of oak grove park at the vine?

I would if you have a trailer. If your only putting in the kayak out of your truck or car topping just park in the regular parking area and you wont have to pay.

thats along the line of wgat i was thinking. the road into sand bass rd just south of the ramp is closed so its either here at the ramp or drag it through the picnic area between the ramp and sand bass.
you guys that've been fishing it lately have any luck with the whites?

we dont pay when we launch there.  but we dont take trailers to the vine either...

well the vine took pretty good care of me today... caught 4of these with this one being the biggest...  caught a 1/2 dz of these, 2 were under ten so the didn't make the trip back...  In all reality the fishing was just ok, I should've boated more sandies but I blew it when I had the chance. Twice I had them blow up bait next to me. Both times I had ummm equipment failure, well not so much that but more like I couldn't keep lines from being crossed up or outta my stringer... This is were I got lucky, a hour into fishing I start looking for my lighter and realize before launching I put it on the hull behind my seat, so as I reach back to make sure its not going to still be there due to putting in and then paddling in that wind for a hour, I not only find my lighter to still be there but my CARS KEYS were left next to it. Lighter and keys stayed put sitting in the open in that wind and waves... I couldn't hardly believe it, the vine took too good of care of me today!

I asked Grapevne Parks and Rec. they said if your no launching a power boat,you don't have to pay at the ramp
|

Have done better, I stayed over by the ramp, did not have a good anchor for over by the Island. The wind was a little tough
