I was fishing a tournament sunday and noticed my automatic bilge kicked on after a minute of investigating realized my live well cracked!! It's a Zx200 i am curious if anyone else has had a problem like this and if replacing it is the only real option or not.

Depending on how bad it is you might be able to pick up marine grade silicone and patch it. (from the back).

Never had one crack.

Happened to my Nitro a few years back. I was told they take a solid block of plastic and blow form the well and that a thin spot can happen. Nitro wanted to Cap the boat to repair because that is the only way to get it out hole. I found a guy out in the Flower Mound area that fixed it with out removing the cap or cutting the fiberglass. It was better than new when done and never leaked again. I will look for his number for you. give me a call on Friday and I will get it to you. 972-839-6723

I also thought I recalled fun and sun acting like this issue was rare I was curious just how rare.

I'm no expert but if I use a silicone or something like that would I have to worry about any sort of toxins killing fish this seems like easy way to fix it.

I don't think you would have to worry about that.

I've had decent luck patching plastic water troughs with a fiberglass repair kit. Might be worth a try if you can't get silicone to seal it. Just be sure to rough it up good around the crack so the glass can adhere good.

3M makes a plastic repair kit but I would use their duramix and never worry about it again.

The thermoplastic can be welded they fix motorcycle farings all the time. There is a co in fort worth that does this all the time can't remember their name. Google search it under thermoplastic welding. They have rods for every type of plastic. Hope this helps.

If they can't weld it shut then Rhino line the interior of the entire livewell

Two parts epoxy from the outside. It will set even in wet conditions. It is a Blue and Yellow strip and when bonded turns green and is very good. It wil then harden. Don't think it is toxic. I would check with Skeeter to see if they would replace it first.
