I have one of the new ones. It's nice, but I've heard it's just last years curado with a new paint job... I don't know if it's true but I've got 2 curds from last year and I can't tell the difference. You may see if you can get an e series curado on eBay...

I have heard that the old curados went to cheaper parts and and the new chronarchs are the old curados. Didnt know if there was a difference and if I should target the old chronarchs or the new ones. I liked the curados but changing them has scared me from buying a new one. I would rather spend the money on something proven and not changed.

I own several of the Chronarch 50mgs. They are far superior to the new Chronarchs (Curado200Es). I'd love to get my hands on a few more. If you see any for less than $150 you better grab it.

The new chronarchs resemble the e series curados very closely.

Yup, the new Chronarch is the old Curado repainted white and made in Malaysia.
I rather have the old Curado 200E7 over the new Chronarch 200E7.

Talk about Chronarch, I have a very nice Chronarch BSV and BPV for sale if anyone interesed, just send me a PM.

I find the new Chronarch is a lot smother and better casting than my E7. IMO although I did have a brand new one go down the crapper on me the other day.

You got the "repainted white" part right, but the Curado 200E's and Chronarch 200E's are the both made in Japan.

Picked up a new Chronarch E7 at Academy last week. I like the white, it matches my Duckett rod. Been trying to find an E6 but all the stores are sold out. Found an older Curado E7 at Wal Mart a few days ago for 150.00.

Catch em, kiss em, let em go

I think the BEST low profile reel for fresh water fishing is the CORE 50 MG7. All the MG7 people that I know love this reel to death.

I have an older MG that is gold in color that I think is a much better reel than my white cronarch. My Core is better than both, it is older though.
