Well I played hooky from work on monday and went up to Texhoma. I started at Eisenhower and didn't have much luck. I headed down to the tailwater at the tail end of them generating and I hooked this drum, and small gill. I also hooked a good size gar that threw the hook. My last cast I hooked something that spooled my 80 yards of line and snapped off. The swirl was 4+ feet but I never saw it. I couldn't even turn the fish!!!! I guess that is why I fish grin

The only time I catch anything is when they are generating water. There is a schedule that is posted online. A good post is on the TFF called the Denison Dam thread. It is a very long thread but there are some great tips on there.

I usually throw any inline lure that I have. 1 oz works well with the current. You may also check out Eisnehower State Park. They were catching white bass from the bank early and late in the day. They have a lighted fishing pier there as well. I did hook up with a few late Monday afternoon at the state park. They are chasing bait on the surface. Good luck.

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to fishing and was wondering... So there is no size limit on the striped bass and sand bass at Texoma? Am I understanding this correctly? If so, what size is too small in your opinion?

I think you can keep 10 stripers per day with one over 20 inches. Don't think there iare any restrictions on sand bass, but don't quote me on that.

10 stripers per day per fisherman, no minimum size but only 2 can be over 20in.
