My son and I got kicked out of the house yesterday so the wife could have some kind of hen pecking party at the house. We headed out to Cooper, and it didnt disapoint. Caught lots of sandies on every hump we fished but one. would pull 2 or 3 hybrids at each spot. Water was like glass for most of the afternoon. About 6 pm the wind started to pick up and we left the dam to try one more spot before heading in. Thats when we ran up on a wad of schooling fish. We stopped and killed the hydrids for the next hour and a half. at one point we had fish schooling 200 yards to the north, east, south, and west of the boat. We lost count of the fish we caught, but it was a fish on every cast for over an hour.

Best part of this was not seeing another boat around us.

I fished but didnt get their until around 7 and we caught some sandies but missed a ton mor lots of subtle thumps we couldnt hook up.We used slabs that were maybe too big ? No schooling fish near the horshoe hump at dusk.

I wish my wife would kick me out of the house! If she did, when she found out I was going fishing, she would be right beside me. My wife is addicted to sand bass and striper fishing, but I haven't been able to find them on Cooper this year. Thanks for the report, and congratulations, Jeff.
