I just recently received a... "Magnaglass DelMar" 6 1/2 pole and a "PENN PEER no. 209" r/r combo. Never ben used, it still had the "OLD" looking tag on it from walmart. It said "Peer/Boat Combo" My mother in law cleaned out her husbands fathers house this past weekend in Lake Jackson and this was found. The tip of the pole has a "pully type" wheel on it. There were a few people who wanted to buy it but thank you "nana" for keeping it for me. Seeing as how I am not a guru on this type of poles... or any for that matter, I was just wndering what yall thought about it.

The Penn 209's have always been my favorite when going offshore. I've caught many snappers, lings, kingfish, etc on that reel. It also means alot to keep the made in USA reels. The new 209's are chinese made. You can pick up the power handle for that reel and make it a truly cranking machine. The penn number is 24-55 or 24-56 depending on the style you like.
