Need some help, please. I need to take my Maxxum tolling off the boat to get it repaired. Where do I disconnect from the mount? I have tried to take the whole bracket off but must have used some strong glue.
As you can tell I am not much of a mechanic. Thank you for you help!

the maxxum has a knob on the front of the mount that you just unscrew, open the gate holding the shaft and its off. unplug everything first and you should be good to go

The older ones don't have the single screw. I believe they have two pins with a nut on one end and a c clip on the other. Just unscrew the nut and tap the pins out with a hammer and chisel or even a screw driver. Good luck

Sawsall and a winch truck......LOL Just could not help myself on this one. Seriously get on line and google up your model trolling motor. Go to the parts diagram and see what holds the shaft in check. Unplug the electrical and your good to go. Or just take the whole boat/motor/trailer to your local repair shop and let the tech remove it for you.............
