Ive always wanted to know what you guys like to bring when you go fishing. the main things all the way down to your fish grips. pictures would be cool!
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn

zip-lock bags....everything gets put in them. Since I like to fish and I don't want to see a rod go down, I use those cheap dollarstore lightweight dog leashes. The are stong enough to hold the pole, the handle loops on the pole easily and the clip will clip on anything. They also work on the paddle. Cheap and functional.
Next---think exposure-----I always have a wide rimmed hat, sun glasses and it is an individual thing but I wear thin gloves. The mess baseball type are light and fit good. They don't get messed up in the water either. Since space is a premium on a yak and I don't carry a net--the gloves come in very handy if you have to grab a fish, tree, etc.
I use m-h spinning gear and adjust everything according to the day's trip.

Sunscreen! Make sure you put it even where you don't think the sun wont hit your legs or neck. I went out Saturday and my shorts rode up a little and fresh white skin got baked all day!
Make a create to carry your fishing gear and mount some rod holders on it so you can store your rods. I also like to take some sort of landing net or fish grips. Waterproof camera is a must, just in case you get splashed or drop your camera inside of the kayak.
This list is long and could type all day.

I store two rods in my kayak, and my PFD and seat all go in the large hatch up front.
Everything else that is essential goes into my kayak box (crate) and the ice chest rides along in my vehicle.
Only thing I have to grab is my kayak, the box, cooler and paddle and I'm gone!
Just one more cast!

Don't forget a 360 light. I keep mine in my front hatch. It is detachable from the pole so it can also be used as a regular flashlight if necessary. You may not plan on being out past dark but sometimes if the fishing is good then you get carried away and before you know it the sun has gone down.

+1 to all the above! As for what FWBanger said...I have gotten carried away more than once and found myself in the situation of having to paddle fast before sunset!I like to wear a camelback when I make a day out of fishing. I also bring spare rope and spare parachute cord. I do not smoke, but I do always carry a lighter also. Probably my most important thing I bring, is the local park's phone number, just in case.
