Meeting my son at Belton on Saturday, never been. A little advice would be helpful. Where to put in, which part of the lake, type of rig, color etc... Thanks Keith

Stay mid to south end of lake and get out early and make use of topwater in calm water and spinnerbaits on windy shorelines.
As the day goes on shakey head and swim baits.

Temple Lake Park. Good ramp & lots of parking.

Fished a tournament last weekend on Belton. Fishing is tough! Fish main lake coves with a topwater, you may even catch a Smallmouth. Baitfish are everywhere! Then when the sun comes up either fish finesse with shakyheads or go deep on points or humps. Look out for all the pleasure boaters! I about got ran over a few times.

Belton is going to be a zoo this weekend unless you get there extremely early or fish at night. I'd fish at night. They are biting much better after dark than during the day right now, smallies and blacks.
