Fished Belton Friday and Saturday. Good wind blowing for the most part. Bite was really slow. All fish came off shaky head jigs and green pumpkin worm.
Saturday started with over cast and wind. Finding shallow flats on main lake gave out a great topwater bite for about an hour. After that it was shakys soaked and worked very slow and a few fish coming off small white swim baits and white cranks.
Water was 77-79 for the most part and clear.

Fished from 6:30 to 1 and didn't boat a fish.

I hear ya. Tried to pay for 2 days at the gate but they wouldn't let me. Tried to sell me a annual pass. I told her it was my first trip to Belton and if the bite didn't improve then Saturday would be my last! Lmao!!!!

Fished yesterday from 1700-2100, put in at arrowhead point and fished both sides of the point. 2 decent channel cats, one big hybrid, one smaller one. All caught on the bottom with TV Shrimp

And again Sat... SKUNKED!! SMOKED!!! Na Da!!!! Fished the north end of the lake from the McGregor park area up as far as I could go. Did see some busy folks having jug lines with gar stealing all their bait..
