I have heard from a few people about tournaments that won't allow a 300. What tournaments do you know of? I know Bass Champs, Media, CAST, 2 of Us and most all other tournaments on Rayburn allow it.

You gotta get it checked out by a dealer and you gotta run it on the lake first. The bigger the rig;The bigger the repair bills.

I ran it on Sunday and it's at Fun n Sun right now getting checked out. He says the motor has less than 20 hours so I'll find out in a day or so.

If the motor really is that low on hours, I think $30k is a fair number. If it's a more reasonable number of hours, I'd lean more towards the folks saying $30k is a little proud. Generally speaking, I'd want a warranty if I was spending that much. But a garage-kept Champ with 20 hours on a 300xs...probably not a bad deal. Like others have said though, by the time you add an engine service with water pump and some decent fishfinders, you'll be out quite a bit more money.

30,000 for a boat thats about to be 7 years old with out a warranty sounds risky.
