Hello TFFers.....My name is Jeff Williams and I have never posted anything on the white/Striper/Hybrid or Crappie boards before. I have lots of friends in the TFF Catfishing forum mainly due to the many anglers who use products from our Team Catfish Brand. We have sponsored many events from the TFF over the years with our catfish products so I am sure a few of you know who we are. Our business is expanding and we have acquired an old brand of fishing tackle that started in OK in 1952. The old tackle brand is called FLE FLY and I have personally been using their 1oz. minnow slab spoons since 1995 with great success on whites and Hybrids. I am less familiar with the jigs but they have proven to be a great fish catching tool as well. Here is my question and offer to anyone on the TFF that has had any history catching fish with the FLE FLY Brand. If you will email us your testimonials, photos, etc. we will be happy to send you 5 of our 1oz minnow slabs or 5 packs of our most popular jigs. Here is what we need from you: 1) Please email all testimonials and photos to info@OutdoorBrandZ.com A TFF Private message is great to if your not comfortable leaving your email address. 2) Please make sure to include your return shipping address in all stories or with all photos. 3) Please request either Jigs or Slab Spoons when you send in your story or photos. 4) If you have any complaints or suggestions about the Fle Fly brand please include them as well.... Why are we doing this you might ask? The reason we need this is information is....We are in the process of building FLEFLY.com over the next months and need some pics and stories for other anglers to read about at the new website. The previous owners are awesome, but they have no real archives from successful anglers that use or products for us to draw from. Next week we will be adding the minnow slabs and some of the best selling jigs to www.CheapSinkers.com. These products can be viewed by folks that want to look at these lures and see what we are talking about. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated. The TFF has always been a great tool for us to spread the word and I am sure this will be no different. Thanks,

I will def send in some of the experiences that I have had with these jigs. My family has been using them for years! My Great Uncle and Grandfather would have a few of these and their cane poles with them and come back a few mins later with a limit. Fry them up and head back out for another limit. I still have a bunch of these that my Grandfather had in his tackle box when he passed a few years ago.

Used to be all I used was Fle Fly. I have some in my tackle box now. x2 always picked up a card in each color before heading to the bend. Those things catch fish! Little man was digging around in my tackle bag and found one, needless to say, its no longer mine

MO They are no longer in Fritch, they have moved to Amarillo several years ago. It is the same brand though. We now own it but are still using the manufacturing facility on Amarillo. One of the old owners is going to build parts for us for a few more years.

Back when I was a kid I remember seeing cards of fle flys on the wall while my dad was buying minnows at the bait shop. We never used them because my dad fished with minnows only, but fle flys and metal minnow buckets already bring back fishing memories for me. Best of luck to you with your endeavor.

If it ain't broke........I think that if you stay with the original Fle-Fly you can't go wrong. From the odd shaped oval head to the offset hook eye, it will be a winner! It just never got the exposure and availability to go big, IMHO.

I grew up in Amarillo and Lake Meredith is where I learned to crappie fish, down in what we called Alibates Canyon where my dad would take my mom & me camping. The lake level back then fluctuated wildly and my very first experience with jig fishing was with a white Fle-Fly 8-10 inches under a fixed pencil float fishing flood pools as the water was receeding. The fish would become "land-locked" and literally tore up that Fle-Fly. Like my folks though, I mostly fished minners and only dabbled with jig fishing once in a while. You know, "Young and Ignorant".

When I was a teenager back in the early to mid 70's I would use solid yellow and red head with white body and tail on Village Creek that feeds lake Arlington. During the sand bass run up the creek we would catch sandbass one after the other on Flee Fly jigs on those 2 colors. We would get them a Buddies Hardware store on Mansfield HWY.
