Lighthouse Lake Trails is the most productive. You can fish the mangrove islands in super shallow water and catch the Redfish tailing. Dean Thomas aka Slowride on www.texaskayakfisherman.com is a guide in the area and specializes in the LHL area. They're a blast on the fly rod. Anyway, to get there, head down to Aransas Pass. Go through Aransas Pass like you're headed to Port Aransas. Once you pass the Crabman marina on the left, go about another mile and you'll see Lighthouse Lakes park. Pull in, park, and yak across the small channel to Lighthouse Lakes. There are markers and a map. I'll see if I can find one and post it. If you stop in Slowrides place (a couple of blocks passed the HEB on your way through town), I'm sure they'll have some maps and he'll talk your ear off and tell you where to go.

Definitely hit Lefty's Kayak 4 Redfish school if you get the chance. You'll learn more there in a couple of days than you will in a couple of years on your own.
