this am I hit pelican island for trout to no avail.
i rigged up a gulp live shrimp, as i would a texas worm rig for bass, and fished it on the bottom...slam, slam, slam.
caught 6 in a row...then guit.
according to the moon phase best time to fish today is 10.30 to 12.45...im going back at 10.00 to see if its correct.

Obviously there are several islands named Pelican Island and I assume from following your posts you are talking about one near Galveston. Is that a safe assumption? Can't wait for the annual run this fall. I didn't make it last year but I'm gonna this year.

Does anybody know if those moon charts are accurate or not? I have read articles and charts on this topic but due to the unfortunate state of my employment detracting from my fishing schedule I have had limited opportunities to test this theory and can only operate on hypothesis

Hope that help narrowing down which Pelican Island.
