OP BIGKAHUNA Outdoorsman B Joined: Apr 2012 Posts: 125	Is the picture I am looking at on the screen exactly what is beneath me at that moment? Or is there a lag time from the transducer to device display? I have only owned one (a long time ago) and I basically used it for the depth. I know they are capaable of so much more. Any pointers? All the other "stuff" to the left of that is history-and can be anywhere. If a return is not being constantly "drawn" on that first row, it is not within the coverage of the sonar pulse. The transducer is not a camera and the display is not a video monitor. Go to the Lowrance web site and view the Sonar Tutorial.
