What are they hitting, benn catching a few on top water but not much interest in my cast master.
I don't always fish for sand bass, but when I do, I fish for them in a horrifyingly violet manner

Rudy C. and I fished GV today mostly fishing for LMB but caught a bunch of sandies on everything from large buzzbaits to spinnerbaits, rattletraps, Roostertails...pretty much everything we were throwing in the wind mostly around rock points on the north side. Fun day with lots of sandies and LMB only downer was when we got back to the ramp noticed a trailer board coming loose due to being rotten. Boat and trailer at Mcgill's in Lewisville for all new bunk boards.

I was out on Thurs morning at the Vine, caught lots of lmb including a 4 lber and a 6 lber, several slots and a bunch of unders (also boated 1 spot that was 16" long). Thought I would get into some sandies before leaving. Marked tons of bait and fish on the points outside of Murrell in 25-35 ft of water but only got a couple to hit my slabs. Saw Omar out there as well. Onoy saw them boat a few too then they left, not sure if they tore them up before I arrived or not. Strangest thing because the week before we wore them out and only marked a fraction of the fish I saw on Thurs. Maybe they just weren't in a biting mood at the time. Did see a few schoolies around the rocks at Twin Coves and just west of there between daylight and 8 am but most looked to be small.
